Terms of Service

Last updated July 6, 2026

These Terms govern your use of River, the family-organizer service at rivertogether.com (“River,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use River.

The service

River turns screens you already own into a shared household hub for your calendar, chores, lists, and notes, with the ability to add items by text message. Features and availability may change over time.

Accounts & households

  • You must be at least 18 to create a household. You are responsible for the members you add and for the activity in your household.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for the accuracy of the information you provide.
  • Managed profiles (for children) are created and controlled by an adult in the household; they have no independent login.

Acceptable use

Use River only for your own household and lawfully. Do not attempt to access other households’ data, disrupt the service, or use it to harass others or send content you don’t have the right to send.

Text messaging

If you provide a mobile number, you consent to receive SMS from River related to your household. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.

AI parsing

River uses AI (Anthropic’s Claude) to interpret the texts and emails you send in. Parsing may occasionally be imperfect — always review important items (dates, times, names) on your calendar. River is a convenience tool, not a substitute for your own judgment.

Plans & billing

River offers a free plan and, where available, a paid “Plus” plan. Paid features, pricing, and billing terms will be presented at the time of purchase. You can cancel a paid plan at any time; access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period.

Disclaimers

River is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that messages will always be delivered on time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, River will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for missed events, reminders, or messages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using River and request deletion of your household at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or as required to protect the service.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date; continued use means you accept the changes.
